Welcoming Teresa V. Jankovic to Our Team as Interim CEO!

The Hudson Valley has been home to Teresa for more than 30 years. We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Teresa V. Jankovic, CPA has also found her new “career home” with us– and named our Interim CEO!

Since 2018, Teresa has served as a Board Member on our Board of Directors, offering her expertise on the Finance Committee and Impact Investment Fund. With 25 years of global finance experience and as a native of the Hudson Valley—Teresa is committed to the growth and diversity of our local economies.

Teresa Jankovic is a global finance and accounting senior executive who possesses extensive innovative technology design and deployment experience.  Big Four audit partner and qualified financial expert with deep regulatory, compliance, and financial statement knowledge.  Global leader with proven product management, technology deployment, analytic development, and operational implementation ability.  She has demonstrated a proven ability to engage stakeholders and partner across businesses.

Teresa is an independent director of the BMO Funds Inc.

She is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and has received the NACD Directorship Certification and is an NACD Governance Fellow.

Teresa is a board member of Community Capital New York, a finance committee member, and is spearheading the development of an Impact Investment Fund.  She is currently a board member of the Financial Women’s Association, Treasurer, and a member of the Governance and Executive Committees.  She is a trustee to the Board of The Ursuline School and a finance and President search committee member.

 Teresa is a CFO consultant having served multiple clients including CohnReznick, Associated Capital Group, Allianz Global Investors, T. Rowe Price, and Legg Mason Global Asset Management.  In her most recent role at CohnReznick, Teresa provided technical accounting support for a Private Equity portfolio companies’ incentive compensation plans.  At Associated Capital Group, Teresa was the GAAP expert and liaison to Senior Management and Board of Directors overseeing GAAP accounting and SEC Public Company reporting and management reporting.  She ensured the on-time issuance of 10K’s for two public companies.  At Allianz Global Investors, Teresa designed, managed, and implemented the offshoring of the monthly finance function.  With T. Rowe Price, Teresa reviewed mutual fund financial statements and other regulatory filings as a financial expert.  At Legg Mason Global Asset Management, Teresa redesigned their fund administration group.

 At BNY Mellon, Teresa held the position of Head of Foreign Exchange Product Management and Client Service Delivery in the Markets Group, where she managed a multi-disciplinary group across functions and business lines to design, develop, implement and support products and programs which delivered value to clients and drove profitable growth for BNY Mellon.  Her previous roles within BNY Mellon’s Markets Group included product manager for custody client FX products and programs.  As a consultant, she designed, set up, and managed the Global Markets Analytics team which developed analyses to support clients and other internal requirements.

Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Teresa was a financial services audit partner focusing on the design and execution of risk-based audits for large mutual fund and asset management clients, including Prudential Mutual Funds, Legg Mason Mutual Funds, Deutsche Bank Asset Management, and Dreyfus Asset Management.  As an audit partner, Teresa had extensive public boardroom experience.  Concurrently with her Audit Partner role, Teresa was the India Offshoring Initiative Partner.  In this role, Teresa designed, developed, and executed one of KPMG’s major strategic audit initiatives. Teresa drove the initiative from concept design and evaluation, through pilot and start-up operations to steady-state operations reporting to the National Audit Partner. Teresa designed and managed the operations of KPMG’s Global Delivery Center in Bangalore, India, and the Offshore Services Center in Montvale, New Jersey.

Teresa is a graduate of Barnard College with an AB in Geology and a Master’s of Science in Applied Solar Energy from Trinity University.  She graduated with an MBA in international accounting and international finance from the Columbia University Business School and is a member of the Columbia Business School Alumni Club of New York.  She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the AICPA.  She has earned the following AICPA certificates:  Cybersecurity, Blockchain, Data Analytics, and Robotic Process Automation.

At BNY Mellon, Teresa was the Co-Chief Operating Officer of the Women’s Initiatives Network (WIN), serving on the Executive Committee and participated as a mentor in the WIN Mentoring Program. At KPMG, Teresa was Co-head of the Leadership Council, NY Chapter, KPMG Network of Women (KNOW), and a founding member of the KNOW Leadership Council, New York Chapter.
