Financing Tools for Affordable Housing
Community Capital New York and Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress, Center for Housing Solutions, sponsored a workshop on February 14, 2013 to showcase financing tools for affordable housing that have not been widely used in the Hudson Valley region. These financial tools may be more useful than some of the current options for development and respond to the changing demographic profiles found throughout the Hudson Valley. The Baby Boomers are empty nesters and millennials are leaving the valley. Panelists from Enterprise Community Partners, Community Development Trust, and Westchester County’s Industrial Development Agency presented on New Market Tax Credits, Alternative Debt and Equity investments, and Local Development Bonds.
