A Million for Main Street: Hudson Valley Opportunity Fund

Community Capital New York is proud to have been selected to receive a NYS Regional Economic Development Council award of $1 million to help support small business and social enterprise in the Mid-Hudson Region. This matching grant makes it possible for us to provide $2 million in capital over the next 24 months to start up and growing businesses in the region. Using a personal approach and flexible underwriting, the Hudson Valley Opportunity Fund provides loans that traditional lenders cannot or will not make.

Eligible Borrowers:

For Profit and Not for Profits located in Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster or Westchester Counties.

Priority Businesses

In order to qualify, you have to meet one of these marks:

  • Minority, women-owned, and veteran-owned business enterprises
  • Food and Beverage Industry
  • Businesses located on a waterfront(s)
  • Businesses related to tourism
  • Agriculture
  • Projects that revitalize urban centers including mixed use development
  • Businesses that will create jobs

  • Equipment
  • Materials/Inventory
  • Marketing
  • Real Estate
  • Building Repairs
  • Leasehold Improvements
  • Energy Saving Upgrades

Loan Terms

  • $5,000 – $250,000
  • Fixed Rate
  • Competitive Rates and Fees
  • Fully Amortizing Term Loans
  • Lines of Credit (principal and interest payments or interest only)
  • Interest Only
  • Financing Terms up to 10 years
  • Limitations – Unable to finance gas stations, home oil delivery services or adult entertainment businesses
